While pregnancy is considered to be a natural process, it is important to remember your tissues have experienced considerable change and therefore may need time, progressive loading, and corrective exercise.

Exercise physiologists are best placed to help you with your recovery as they are university qualified Allied Health Professionals.

About the sessions

Prepare your body and mind for all the challenges and rewards of pregnancy and birth.

You can be an absolute beginner or a reformer pro – we will make sure you feel welcome and challenged in all your classes.

Pregnancy classes include exercises and strategies to minimise pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, abdominal separation and pain throughout your pregnancy, birth and immediate postpartum period.

About the sessions

Help your body recover from pregnancy and birth as well as build a strong body to assist with all the tasks involved with being a Mum, all under expert supervision.

Postpartum classes will include exercises and strategies to prevent or reduce pelvic floor dysfunction, abdominal separation and pain. There will also be a strong focus on postpartum posture and retraining abdominals and pelvic floor to function effectively to support Mum life and get you back to doing activities you enjoy.

Now you are caring for another human (or humans) full time, these classes are a great opportunity to spend some time on yourself and meet other Mums.

FAQ's

You are welcome to bring your bubs and children under 5 years to your classes. Bubs who are not yet mobile can remain nearby to Mum in prams, or on floormats. For older children, a safe area with toys with be provided for your children to play while keeping them safe from the moving parts of the reformers.

You do not need to be a new Mum to attend these classes. If you feel your body has not fully recovered from pregnancy or you have ongoing postpartum concerns or issues.

Safe and effective group reformer Pilates classes are supervised by a Women’s Health Exercise Physiologist.

Yes! We don’t want you to miss out, so please book your session in advance to avoid any waitlists. We recommend booking your sessions 2 weeks in advance to ensure you are able to get the most out of your rehabilitation programming. Call the clinic on 07 4599 3165, email or book via our website.

All sessions are waitlisted. Please let reception know if you would like to have your name added to a waitlist. We will either call or SMS when a session comes available. Your waitlisted spot will be confirmed only if you call or SMS the clinic with a confirmation of attendance.

Please note multiple people may be waitlisted. Spots will be filled on a first come first served basis.

Private health rebates may be available depending on your individual health fund cover.
