Over 60 years of clinical knowledge

We are a small locally owned allied health clinic. We started in Highfields as MET Phys in March 2017 and have grown a wealth of experience. Our team collectively has over 60 years of clinical knowledge and experience. We offer a range of services and have experience delivering quality health transformations.

OUR MILESTONES

7 years of transforming lives

Continued to MOVE, EMPOWER, and TRANSFORM by bringing Exercise, Occupational, Physiotherapy, Speech, and Remedial Massage therapy in Highfields and Toowoomba.
MET Phys provided placement to approximately 60 students in USQ and TAFE for their university placement helping them shape their future in the allied health world.
Helped make healthy choices and create a positive lifestyle change in people through My Health for Life program a free healthy lifestyle program for Queenslanders since 2019, funded by the State Government and delivered by an alliance of not-for-profit agencies.
Proudly published our first book, "Regulating through Exercise," co-authored by Sarah and Angela in 2020. This book explores the positive benefits of stable healthy behaviours, exercises and routines and how these facilitate a more positive environment for learning and living - for both the individual with autism and their carers and family.
Secured accreditation as an Exercise Right for Active Ageing (ERAA) facilitator and provided group programs at low cost to people over 65 years of age who are inactive or completing less than 30 minutes of moderate physical activity per week from 2020-2022.
Worked with an amazing group of amputees through a $10,000 Heart Foundation Grant for the Amputee Project that was granted to us in 2021. We were able to provide a free healthy lifestyle program to reduce the scarcity of support and limited access for people with limb amputation on the Darling Downs.
Executed "Mullets 4 Mental Health," raising $2500 for the Blackdog Institute whose mission is to aim is to create a mentally healthier world for everyone in 2021.
A former trainee of MET Phys was recognized as the School-Based Trainee of the Year for the Darling Downs and South West region and reached the finals at the Queensland State Training Awards in 2023.
Launched our first Kids Holiday Program that helped neurodivergent children with socializing, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional regulation and more.
Facilitated PHN Wellbeing and Resilience program aimed at helping individuals aged 18-65+ reach their exercise goals through a $10,000 PHN funding granted in 2022-2023.
Facilitated lego therapy program with Children's Rights Week funding in collaboration with Multicultural Australia in 2021 & 2023.
Nominated for an Australian Day Award in 2024 for Highfields Community Group of the Year.
Initiated our first free webinar advocating the transformative potential of Allied Health Assistants in enhancing client outcomes.
