Sarah is our home-grown Toowoomba local – she moved away to study and eventually found her way back to build something she’s genuinely proud of.

After graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Charles Sturt University with a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation), Sarah worked with the Southport Sharks AFL, NJF Wellness, and volunteered in Cambodia before returning to the Darling Downs. In 2017, she founded MET Phys – and hasn’t looked back.

What started as a solo exercise physiology practice has grown into a 30-person multi-disciplinary allied health team spanning exercise physiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, osteopathy, counselling, and Pilates. Sarah also co-founded Elevation Studios, a reformer Pilates studio in Highfields built around community, movement, and belonging.

Sarah’s clinical background spans professional AFL, amputee rehabilitation, aged care, musculoskeletal, neurological, mental health, spinal cord injury and behaviour change – but her real passion is building a team and a community where people do more than they thought possible.

Outside the clinic, Sarah practices what she preaches. She’s a committed cyclist, riding road, gravel, and mountain trails around the Darling Downs. Last year she ran her first ever marathon alongside her colleague Molly, and has completed a series of half marathons along the way. She’s also a My Health for Life facilitator and has volunteered with the Highfields Chamber of Commerce for over six years, including serving on the committee.
